Updates from the Library Marketing and Communications Group

As a board member for the Library Marketing and Communications Group (the nonprofit that puts on the Library Marketing and Communications Conference), I’m excited to share these updates.

First-Ever Online Summit

The LMCG is hosting its first-ever online summit: Library Marketing and Communications Conference Online: Putting Principles Into Practice. This conference is specifically curated to feature highly-rated sessions from LMCC 2023, offering professionals practical and actionable strategies to elevate their marketing, outreach, and program promotion efforts within the library community.

Rebranding Process & Survey

The Library Marketing and Communications Group and Conference are rebranding, and we want to hear from you! Please share your feedback in the short survey. Your feedback will help inform the LMCG/LMCC’s new brand identity.

Submit a Conference Proposal

It’s not too early to start planning for this year’s LMCC in Saint Louis, Nov. 15-14, 2024. We are now taking conference proposals.

This year marks the Library Marketing and Communications Conference’s tenth anniversary, so we are celebrating with a theme:

Flashbacks and Futures in Library Marketing. LMCC has come a long way from our first conference in 2015, when our original planning committee crossed their fingers for 45-50 attendees and instead welcomed 200 library marketers in Dallas, Texas. Over the last decade, we have helped countless library professionals with our annual conferences, continuing education webinars, an upcoming online conference, and more to come.

Now is the perfect time to look backward as well as forward. Give us your lessons learned, your assessment strategies, your tips and tricks, and ways you’ve grown as a professional and/or organization!
