I hope you are having a safe and healthy holiday season. Though Thanksgiving was very different this year, for me and probably for many of you as well, I was still grateful to have the opportunity to reflect on what I am thankful for.
One thing I am thankful for is the online Library Marketing & Communications Conference that I participated in last month. While I will always prefer in-person conferences, this one was still pretty great. Engaging with other marketing and communications professionals from around the country, especially those who work with and love libraries, was a balm to my soul. We didn’t even freak out when there were technical difficulties during my opening session! As I chatted with other participants, many of us agreed that the content and online platform were wonderful, but we look forward to being able to gather in person again when it is safe.
I hope that you too are finding opportunities to connect with colleagues while so many of us are working remotely. I look forward to a time when we can all see each other again.
