I have recently been working on a training for one my clients about gathering and telling stories of impact. Stories of impact are such an effective and easy way to tell the story of your organization – whether you are improving people’s lives or selling a great product. I think we are often reluctant to tell such stories, for fear that it will be seen as boastful. But I don’t see it that way. If you truly believe in your organization or product, you want people to know about it. And stories are a great way to get that message across.
Stories of impact don’t have to be complicated or overly serious. All you need is a person with a need, and the story of how your product or service helped them fill that need.
Often you can pair stories of impact with other compelling pieces of information – like statistics – to have an even greater impact. If you’d like to talk about how to gather and present these stories, shoot me an email. I’m glad to help!
